Preparing for Your Plunge Onboarding Call: A Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to the Plunge family! We are excited to help you get started on your cold exposure journey. To ensure your onboarding call is efficient and successful, please use this guide to prepare your space and gather your materials beforehand.

Proper preparation ensures that our specialists can focus on teaching you how to maintain your water and operate your new Plunge, rather than troubleshooting setup issues.

1. Gather Your Maintenance Kit

During the call, we will walk you through the initial water balancing process. Please have the following items (included in your delivery) unboxed and ready:

  • Chemicals: 1 gallon of Chlorine, 1 gallon of Muriatic Acid, Spa Up, and Calcium Booster.
  • Testing & Dosing: Test Strips and your Measuring Spoon.
  • Maintenance Tools: The Filter Wrench and the Silver Probe Wrench.
  • Filtration: The Carbon Hose Filter (this attaches to your water source).

2. Prepare the Installation Site

Safety and stability are our top priorities. Before the call begins, please verify the following:

  • Location Requirements: Review the manual to ensure your Plunge is on a level surface with adequate drainage and ventilation. Note: The tub cannot be moved once filling begins, so ensure its position is final.
  • Electrical Safety: Review the Safety Precautions in your manual. Ensure your power source meets the required specifications and is properly grounded.
  • Clean-up Ready: Keep several towels on hand. While we aim for a dry setup, it’s best to be prepared for minor splashes or spills when handling water and chemicals.

3. Utility & Connectivity Check

To get your Chiller running and connected to the app, you will need the following active:

  • Water Source: Ensure your hose is accessible and reaches the tub.
  • Tools: Have a pair of scissors or a box cutter nearby to remove any remaining zip ties from the plumbing or components.
  • WiFi Connection: Verify that your WiFi signal is strong at the tub's location. Download the Plunge app and ensure you have your network password ready to sync the device. This will be important for gaining access to your Plunge Connect account.
